CHECKLIST

Pre-Build Checklist for Home Construction

Confirm ownership documents, drawings, approvals, scope, BOQ, commercial terms and site readiness before mobilisation.

Who it’s for: Plot owners preparing to start construction.

Use this checklist before mobilisation. Confirm applicable society/authority requirements for your specific plot — this is planning guidance, not legal advice.

A pre-build checklist for house construction in Islamabad and Rawalpindi covers plot ownership documents, surveys, drawings readiness and contractor questions before grey structure or turnkey work starts. Pair it with the Construction Cost Calculator and the Sample Residential BOQ when you compare scope and preliminary PKR ranges.

Overseas Pakistanis coordinating remotely should also confirm decision-maker contacts, approval paths and weekly reporting channels — see the Overseas Construction Toolkit.

Before mobilisation

Why a pre-build checklist matters in Islamabad

  1. 01

    Confirm documents early

A pre-build checklist for house construction in Islamabad and Rawalpindi helps owners confirm plot documents, surveys, drawings and contractor questions before mobilisation. Skipping these steps is a common reason grey structure and turnkey projects stall after work starts.

  2. 02

    Cross-check tools and societies

Use this printable planning checklist alongside the Construction Cost Calculator and Sample Residential BOQ. Confirm society or authority requirements for your specific plot — Bahria Enclave, Park View City, DHA and other societies each have their own transfer and elevation rules.

  3. 03

    Remote owners need channels

Overseas Pakistanis coordinating remotely should tick decision-maker contacts, approval paths and weekly reporting channels before the first site mobilisation. Pair this page with the Overseas Construction Toolkit when you build from abroad.

  4. 04

    Then request a review

This checklist is general planning guidance, not legal advice. When drawings and a written BOQ are ready, request a project review so Tryino can reconcile scope, milestone planning and supervision expectations.
